ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Position Description

The Associate Consultant provides support on client projects, as well as administrative and marketing support. This is an hourly paid contract position that offers professional development opportunities in a growing business. Friday Consulting fosters an atmosphere of open communication and collaborative learning.

This position reports to Friday Consulting’s Principal and is approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on needs. The Associate Consultant will work primarily remotely, with occasional in person meetings on site with clients. The Associate Consultant is expected to be available for virtual and in-person meetings during normal business hours, and to respond to emails on a daily basis during the work week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Client support
    • Contributions to client deliverables
      • Financial models, presentations, and other documents
      • HR and operations projects
    • Client management: communicating and maintaining project scope
    • Project management: task management, creating agendas, etc.
  • Creation of resources and documentation for clients
  • Administrative support for the Principal
  • Marketing support, including website, social media maintenance, and newsletters

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Superb communication skills (writing, presentation, and meeting facilitation)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and experience working with financial modeling
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of Friday Consulting’s client sectors: food & beverage or health & wellness
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
  • Passion for social entrepreneurship
  • Familiarity with Google Apps and other online tools a plus
